Remy Raisner – Founder & CEO

Mr. Raisner is the Founder and CEO of The Raisner Group (formerly Proteus Capital Management), a private real estate investment firm headquartered in New York City. 

Under his leadership, The Raisner Group has raised capital domestically and internationally since 2009. It has been active in non-performing notes and fee simple transactions, and focuses primarily on value-add, residential and mixed-use real estate investments in New York City. Most of the firm’s acquisitions have taken place in the outer boroughs, with an emphasis in the emerging Brooklyn neighborhoods of Bushwick, Bed Stuy and Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

After working as an equity trader in New York, Mr. Raisner worked for a real estate investment firm in Argentina, where he focused on Latin American acquisitions. Mr. Raisner holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is a CFA Charterholder, a Member of NYPEN Real Estate and the Founder of Snap Back New York, a private, senior-level real estate networking group holding monthly meetings.  He is a Foreign Trade Advisor to the Government of France and a Board Member of the NorthEast Committee.  He also serves on the Board of Advisors of La Maison Française of New York University.  He is a Founding Member of the Transatlantic Forum of the French-American Foundation and has served as an Advisor to Concordia, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering Public-Private Partnerships for social impact. He also serves as a Mentor for the Urban Land Institute.

He has been a Contributor on real estate, business and foreign affairs topics for publications such as The Huffington Post, Forbes, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Observer and Le Monde.  He was recognized as an Industry Leader by the New York Real Estate Journal.  He was named a 2020 Rising Star in Real Estate and a Notable in Real Estate by Crain’s New York Business in 2021 and 2023.

Prior to his career in business, he played professional basketball.

Vanja ‘Vin’ Krstic – Associate

Mr. Krstic is an Associate at The Raisner Group, where he is involved in all aspects of the company’s business. In particular, he is responsible for overseeing asset management for the firm’s portfolio. He also assists with investor/lender reporting as well as with the company’s acquisition efforts.

Mr. Krstic joined The Raisner Group in 2018. Prior to being with the company, he ran his family’s pharmaceutical company in Eastern Europe and assisted with its sale.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Belgrade Banking Academy and a MS in Real Estate from the Schack Institute of NYU, earned with cum laude honors.  He was named a 2023 Rising Star by the New York Real Estate Journal.

Board of Advisors

The Hon. Reginald Winssinger – Honorary Chairman, RW Partners

Reginald Winssinger began his career in real estate as a partner of DTZ Winssinger, a respected real estate firm in Brussels, Belgium. Mr. Winssinger received his Bachelor’s Degree from UC Berkeley. He then came to the United States in 1979 to represent European investors in their acquisitions of U.S. real estate.

While Mr. Winssinger retired from executive duties at RWP in 2011, he remained an advisor in some capacity until his full retirement from the Company in July 2017.  Currently, he serves as the Honorary Consul of Belgium in Arizona, and is a Member of the Board at privately held company Dynamic Water.  He was a Board Member of WP Carey, a publicly-traded REIT with 900 assets in 17 countries.

Amir Yerushalmi – Co-Founder, Gaia Real Estate

Amir Yerushalmi has two decades of real estate experience and transacted over $3.5 billion worth of real estate investments in the U.S. and Europe. He is the co-founder of Zoia Real Estate and a Managing Partner at Skyline.AI. At the end of 2008, he co-founded GAIA Real Estate, a full-service real estate investment company with $2.8 billion of assets today.

Prior to founding GAIA, Amir founded Vision Real Estate Group, a New York based real estate investment and property management company. Mr. Yerushalmi served as its President and CEO until merging its property management arm with GAIA. He is also the Co-Founder and a board member of Vision India Real Estate.

Mr. Yerushalmi earned a B.A. with distinction from Pace University and an M.B.A. from both Columbia University and London Business School.

Niv Rotem – President, NMR Real Estate Group

Mr. Rotem is an investor in and developer of multifamily and mixed-use projects.  Prior to forming NMR Real Estate Group, Mr. Rotem was a real estate professional focused on the acquisition and development of large-scale residential projects at large national and New York based developers.  He has worked for companies such as Time Square Development Group and Archstone. 

Since 2010, Mr. Rotem has been an active investor in multifamily properties in emerging neighborhoods of New York City such as Bushwick and in emerging neighborhoods of Philadelphia such as Fishtown and Center City West.

Prior to his career in real estate, Mr. Rotem was a litigation associate at a prominent New York based law firm.  Mr. Rotem received an MBA from Columbia Business School, a JD from Tulane Law School and a BA from Cornell University.  He is admitted to the Bar and a licensed real estate broker in New York.
